This week I had a conversation with a collegue in the office in relation to the difficulties in managing the variety of personalities you come accross in the ICT industry. The conversation was sparked after hearing about a “blowup” from a team member in another business who has a reputation for just that “blowing up”. People being people, blowups occur in every industry but differently in ICT the blowups come from sometimes the seemingly most mild manners of characters. I was left thinking (not for the first time in my career) as to why this is; but alas again I was at a loss as to how to easily explain what makes behaviours of ICT staff so different ?
